Why the Pipes Here Act Their Age

Older ground, older lines.

The bulk of the housing is brick veneer built between the 1960s and the 80s, with older fibro cottages close to the original village and townhouse infill toward the edges. The earliest drainage went in as clay, a material that cracks and drops joints as the reactive soil under it shifts.
