Drain Jetting Raworth

Drain jetting in Raworth sends water at high pressure through a sewer or stormwater pipe to scour off grease, silt and fine roots that a cable only punches through. Our plumber in Raworth crew prices the jetting first, then films the line afterwards. Jetting is one method under our blocked drains work.

When Does a Drain Need Jetting?

A cable or eel opens a hole in a choke. Jetting cleans the whole bore, which matters when:

  • Fat sets in rings around the wall, and an eel leaves most of it behind.
  • Fine sediment settles along the invert of a stormwater pipe and slows every storm.
  • Hair roots through a joint can be cut back cleanly before they thicken.
  • The drain keeps re-blocking within weeks of being cleared with a cable.

How We Jet a Line

Pick the opening

We open the nearest inspection point, gully or pit that gives a straight path to the choke.

Choose the nozzle

A penetrating head breaks the plug, a rotating head scrubs the wall, and a root-cutting head trims fine growth.

Scour back toward us

The rear-facing jets pull the hose up the pipe while washing debris back to the opening, where it is collected.

Film the result

The drain camera goes in last, and a longer survey is available through CCTV drain inspection if the pipe needs a closer look.

What Changes the Price of Jetting?

Jetting costs follow the length of pipe to be cleaned and how packed it is. Beyond that:

  • Distance from the opening Since a choke far out in the yard needs more hose and water
  • Type of build-up As set grease or compacted silt takes more passes than a soft plug
  • Whether roots need cutting first Which adds the eel before the jetter
  • Camera time If you want a full recorded survey rather than a check after clearing

Jetting and Raworth Drains

Grease from big kitchens

Census figures show 2.9 people in the average household here, in homes where 67.1 percent have four bedrooms or more. That means a lot of dishes and pan fat, and in the young PVC under these brick-veneer estate homes the fat sets on the pipe wall in layers that jetting strips off completely.

Silt from flat, low yards

The estates sit low near the Hunter floodplain, and the flatter blocks give stormwater little fall. Sediment washed off lawns and garden beds settles in those slow pipes, and the jet washes it clear, where a cable would only drag through it.

What Customers Say

We talked through the options of our blocked kitchen sink drain (not just an s bend problem) and came to the perfect long term solution at a reasonable price.

When We're Not the Right Call

No amount of water pressure straightens a pipe that has split or sagged. If the footage shows that, relining the pipe or replacing the section is the answer. A heavy root mass also calls for the eel, set out on the tree root removal page.

Jetting Questions Before You Book

Can a jetter damage the PVC drains in a Raworth estate home?

Not when the nozzle and pressure are matched to the pipe. PVC handles a properly set jetter well. Where the camera shows a cracked or displaced joint, we lower the pressure or switch methods, because blasting into an open joint can wash out the bedding around it.

How long does a jetted kitchen line stay clear?

That depends on what goes down the sink afterwards. Scraping plates into the bin, wiping greasy pans with paper towel and running hot water after the dishes all slow the build-up. A jetted line with no roots or damage can stay clear for years with those habits.

Is jetting better than an eel for roots?

For fine roots and hair-like growth, a root-cutting jet head does the job and leaves the wall clean. A thick root mass needs the eel's blades first, then the jetter to wash the cuttings out. The camera decides which, and you see the footage.

Does jetting need a pit or opening in the yard?

It needs an access point: an inspection opening, a gully, a stormwater pit or a downpipe connection. Where the property has one we can reach, jetting starts there; if not, installing an opening becomes part of the quote before any jetting starts.
